Lionsdale Boxing Toronto

A 5 km of glory ...

We've done it: the first part in a track event has been completed successfully. Three-mile route taken in 34 'correct: a time that allowed us to honor the Race for The Cure Bari 2010. The staff (although less than about 200 seconds, compared to Friday's dress rehearsal on the treadmill), however, was the last thing I thought of both the start and during the course of the race. And God forbid. So recently I started to corricchiare (although only in order to stay in shape and weight to throw down!) That would be absurd to pose as if I am already "forced" the race (just to clarify, a personal and very nice sharing, runners divided into "forced" and "improvised" the first absolutely impeccable, from clothing, to gadgets, the technical material, up to a falsely elevated language and professional, the latter, the opposite, probably to save only "essential" category exactly equidistant above). I told him the day before: the important thing was to finish it and pass the test of the asphalt and the weather. In this last respect, I must say that you could not choose better day: clear skies, pleasant sun from the early morning light and a light breeze to cool off in the most delicate moment of the race, the second two and a half kilometers. The race still went quite well. Start a spur beat (maybe too much!), With the first route km in 6 minutes (thanks to the initial descent and enterprise Luke, one of two friends with whom I discussed the race) and very big turning point reached without problems, if only to contrast a sun that has literally cooked. E 'in the opposite direction which began the first problemini, at least for myself. Despite the cool breezes and the sun behind us, I felt the need to change pace. I slowed down, breathe deeply and the change allowed me to shoot with an air more decided until the finish line, where Luke and I (the last section I managed to drag him "psychologically" I think he began to have visions of "fantozziana memory!) we were early by about 2 minutes by Ubaldo, able to store the necessary energy ad uno scatto nel chilometro finale! Insomma una grande giornata di sport, amicizia e solidarietà (aspetto non trascurabile: la Race for The Cure raccoglie fondi per la lotta contro il cancro al seno).
